Super Nintendo - 1991

Final Battle

Medelus:
The epic final battle. I didn't record the battles before this because they're all just refights with the previous bosses, which can all be seen in my other videos. Anyway, there aren't any differences between the NA/JPN versions here. Oh, and a little bit of parting trivia: Most US gamers should be familiar with Nintendo of America's strict policies against offensive content (including religious references) way back in the day. Well, this game's religious undertones aren't exactly subtle (it's very clearly a holy allegory), and in a feeble attempt to cover them up, Enix changed some of the dialogue around. As far as I know, the main character is referred to as "The Master" as opposed to "God" in the SFC version, and the antagonist is referred to as "Tanzra" as opposed to "Satan".
