Spec Ops Solo - Echo Armor Piercing Veteran Speedrun

I decided to finish it with the machinegun instead of reloading the Barrett but if I had dashed to reload I would have probably finished a couple seconds faster, the downside would have been being unsure whether I'd survive, the jug could have went down the stairs faster and killed me like they have before :P* Ok, after playing another 30 hours I got three completed runs, two slower and this one that finally beat IW and let me rest. From testing I found out I didn't have to shoot all the way up, just two shots will do, and have to be done while climbing the first set of stairs, you have to do it so that the gunshot sounds cover the whole climbing section, if you start too early then make three shots. This way the first jugs you meet will be on the first possible room. From there there is a chance of making the second jugs spawn in the next possible area, however I could never manipulate it or have a guess at how to do it, I only got it occasionally, like one every thirty attempts. There is also the chance that it spawns on the upper floor, the long corridor, but also it was rare, the only normal outcome was it spawning at the very top of the map, and you had to make noise to meet it at the stairs leading to that floor, however since I knew where it was going to spawn I could just dash there, and if I met it before, then cool. In all the gaming I only got a _perfect_ random setup only once, which is at the end of the video, then I got another setup that was close, and that was it, in the who knows how many attempts I could get something similar. There is a great difference, if you compare this run with that one I got to "9 left" at 2:15, while on the other I did the same at 1:56, that's 19 seconds difference, but not only that, starting 11 left the jugs start spawning faster, the most time consuming part is the first four, so in that run I could have got even a thirty seconds difference, maybe more, if only I could manipulate that spawn setup. Anyway onto the run, the jugs spawn somewhere and do not move until alerted, to make them move wait a bit after killing the last one, and make two successive shots with the Barrett, that is enough to alert the ones in the vicinity, and since there are floor spots with grates, if you shoot from those spots you might be seen by the jugs on the other floors and make them sprint instead of slowly walk to your location. The nest I decided to use is a good spot because it is close to all the major spawn points yet it is also a short distance from the ones far away and at the same time you are visible to those places which means the jugs will start sprinting if they see you. The ones that spawn on the lower floor (eventually they always do) will take ages to get to you, and make you waste a lot of time, so I put a claymore on their stairs, that way they'll see it, shoot it and start sprinting towards you, at the same time you are alerted that they are indeed there and should rush to meet them. Besides that there are two spots where sound might help you, at the top floor I stand on some grates and shoot a tank, if anyone spawned on the top floor that calls their attention, but if someone spawned on the floors below they react too. If you hear very faint voices then its most likely they spawned on the bottom floor and you'll eventually hear the claymore go off, so a good bet is sprinting there right away. Likewise when you are at the nest aim to the upper floor stairs and if you hear loud voices then its jugs that will come behind you on the same floor (and saw you across the door frames). If you notice the Barrett hip fire has a very wide cone of fire, although it usually hits the target, but the times it misses cost you the run, so that's why having the flashbangs reloaded and using them is a must. The Thumper is not that useful to me, but the AT4 and RPG can get you a couple kills, I prefer the machinegun despite it usually only gives one kill because the explosive ones tend to miss the head an even if they don't you get hurt when using them and towards the end the jugs will always have you on some level of pain which means that would be instant death. The other guns suck, except maybe the automatic shotgun, it does 50% damage if you hit all the bullets, and unloads very quick.
