Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos

Nintendo Entertainment System - 1990

Speedrun (0:11:21)

Jim Hanson:

For this run, I kept track of the time I spent recording and the number of attempts.

I spent about 5 hours recording, and I did 62 attempts. Thirty-seven of the attempts ended with a death; 19 of the attempts ended because I made a costly mistake and had to reset; and 6 of the attempts were completed runs. The stage that caused the most failed attempts (16) was 2-2.

The first completed run was probably 10 seconds slower than Liger's 11:39 run, but I'll never know for sure because my DVD recorder decided not to record during that run. I timed the second completed run at 11:33, the third at 11:23, the fourth at 11:24, the fifth at 11:30, and the sixth is the run that I submitted to SDA.
